Polaris World Resorts

Murcia
The city of Murcia lies 30 minutes north of San Javier Airport and it is soaked in history which is written in its places, its squares, gardens, buildings and monuments. The City of Murcia was founded by Abd-Al-Rahman in 831 A.D. in the middle of the valley of the river Segura. Murcia is always ready to welcome the traveller, who will undoubtedly enjoy the city and what it has to offer, whether you wish to go shopping, walk along the river or sample the gastronomical delights of the region, all within this great city.
La Manga Strip del Mar Menor
La Manga strip, “La Manga” which means “sleeve” in Spanish, and this strip or sleeve of land between the two seas enjoys its own micro climate with air & sea temperatures of a few degrees more than other surrounding areas. The numerous sandy beaches of the Mar Menor are extremely safe & shallow, making it an ideal place for children and water sports. The Murcia region of Spain enjoys and average of 320 days of sunshine each year and because it’s one of the driest regions of Spain it makes a great all year round destination for sun, sea and relaxation. With The Mediterranean sea on one side and the Mar Menor on the other, you are just a few minutes walk from either beach. The Mar Menor has warm shallow waters ideal for children and there are endless beaches to choose from along the strip which is over 15km long. The Mar Menor averages water temperatures of around 27-30c in the summer so it is ideal for all types of water sports including scuba diving, kite boarding, water-skiing, sailing just to name a few. The Mar Menor is also famous for “The Black Mud” which is said to help treat the symptoms of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments. The apartment is situated on Abity Beach Resort, which is close to the new 1000+ berth Thomas Maestro Marina. The development is close to shops and restaurants and there is a regular bus service which goes up and down the strip at reasonable low fares. If golf is your thing then there is a 9 hole golf course only a 2min drive away or a 15min walk, Also there are 3 full 18 hole courses two of which are championship courses at the world famous La Manga club which is only a 20min drive, and also feature the soccer academy which has been host to the England Football team on many occasions.
